Ninje: We Didn’t Make The Possession Count

7 April 2015

Notts Youth Team lost their final away match of the season against Grimsby Town 2-0 last Saturday…

Lead Development Coach Ammy Ninje managed the team with Mick Halsall and Paul Hart concentrating on first team matters and he was disappointed with the result.

Ninje told the Official Site: “We started the game very well and we saw a lot of the ball.

“We must have had at least 90 percent of possession, but couldn’t get a goal, and then in the final minute of the first half we concede and heads drop.

“We went in at the break 1-0 down and that goal affected us as we started the second half poorly. We didn’t keep the ball well, there was a lack of confidence and desire, but we should have got back into the game.

“We started to play the football we know we can in the final ten minutes, but by then it was too late. Again we conceded again. It’s disappointing.

“We kept the ball so well and for so long, but that sucker punch killed us really and their was a lack of concentration which ultimately cost us.”
