Mullins: It’s A Big Week For The Club

21 April 2015

Captain Hayden Mullins is relishing a big week for the Magpies with two important home games…

The defender admitted the squad were still reeling from the disappointing result and performance as they lost 2-0 to Crawley on Saturday, but believes his team-mates can still perform and keep the club in League One.

He’s now aiming for two positive results this week, backed by a vocal home crowd.

He told Magpie Player: “The result at the weekend was a massive disappointment for everyone, but it’s gone now.

“We have two home games and if we can take maximum points it would be absolutely terrific.

“All the lads know what we need to do and it’s in our own hands.

“We know it will be difficult, but at the end of the day it’s down to us.

“We’ve had setbacks and it was a massive setback on Saturday losing to Crawley, but it’s how you deal with it and we need to bounceback and hopefully perform, get three points and look forward to Saturday and the only way that will happen is hard work on the pitch.

“All the boys are confident that they can perform in this division. We need to start getting wins and that will stop the run and that will breed confidence.

“It’s a big week for the club and one we are all looking forward to.”
