Moniz: We Have To Help The Confidence Of The Players And Be Positive

24 April 2015

Manager Ricardo Moniz spoke to the local media on Friday morning ahead of another massive League One fixture…

Notts now have two massive to save themselves and escape relegation.

Sitting on 47 points, the Magpies are focussing themselves on two wins, the first at home on Saturday against Doncaster Rovers.

Manager Ricardo Moniz told Magpie Player: “The fans were the 12th man last two games and normally when you don’t concede so easily against the likes of Barnsley, you will get three points.

“We had opportunities, but out of nothing we concede. The players are frustrated with recent games.

“We were better on Tuesday, we attack for the fans and press, but we have to create more chances. We are missing a lot attacking strength through McCourt and Campbell-Ryce, but the youngsters who have come in have done well.

“I am here for the players. I have to ask if my message was clear enough.

“This is not the toughest test, but my biggest challenge. We should be going through the wall for everyone here. We don’t want to let anyone down.

“We have potential players, we have a lot to repair.

“There is no easy game. There is a high level in England.

“I’ve seen good moments, but we have today to train and get ready for Doncaster.

“The players must score more, create more, set pieces must be better and we will be training like today is our last day.

“We have to help the confidence of the players and be positive.”
