Adams: The Fans Helped Us Pick Up A Vital Three Points

26 April 2015

Blair Adams praised the 12th man of the Notts supporters after climbing out of the relegation zone...

The Magpies beat Doncaster Rovers on Saturday 2-1 thanks to goals from Garry Thompson and Liam Noble.

The former Coventry City player told the media how important the crowd was to help Notts gain a vital three points.

He told Magpie Player: “It was brilliant to play in. The fans knew how much we needed to win and the atmosphere was incredible.

“Obviously it’s helped us pick up the three points. I can’t stress how much they helped us and the difference they made.

“We will still need to go to Gillingham next week and that will be the biggest of all our careers. We will have to go and win. If we stay in the league, it will be massive and it’s one of the biggest games.

“The early goal settled us down, we’ve conceded the first goal too much and it’s made us anxious, but we got it early and we looked like we played a lot more.

“We are delighted with it and pleased to get the win for the Gaffer and hopefully we can follow that up next weekend.”
