Pilkington: Thanks To All That Donated

29 September 2014

Notts County Goalkeeping Coach Kevin Pilkington pledged his support to Nottingham Hospitals Charity...

Goalkeeping Coach Kevin Pilkington completed the Nottingham half marathon on Sunday and thanked everyone for their support.

Pilkington completed the 13 mile course in 1 hour 33 minutes and raised hundreds of pounds for Nottingham Hospital Charity.

The delighted keeper told the Official Site: "I was chuffed to bit with my time, before I set off I was thinking 1.45ish, but to shave 12-minutes off that time.

"I have to thank everyone around the course because their cheering gives you a big boost.

"I got to nine miles and it was tough. but I dug in, kept going and at 12 miles you come to the stage where you turn left you carry on the course to do the full marathon, or turn right and you head to the finishing line. There was only one way I was going!

"It was a mild day, tough conditions and not comfortable at times, but I was delighted with how much I raised. I'd like to thank all the players, staff and everyone who backed me. It was great to raise money for a fantastic charity.

"I've got my final tough mudder coming up, my sixth, then I will be looking for a brand new challenge."

The race may have been completed, but you can still donate online at Kevin’s Everyday Hero web page by clicking here.
