Cranston: Halsall’s Influence Helped Me Get My Move

8 September 2014

Jordan Cranston revealed it was his former Wolves Youth Team Coach Mick Halsall that helped him secure a move to Meadow Lane…

The current Notts Head of Academy Coaching Halsall is a big fan of the former Wanderers scholar and had kept close tabs on the full-back.

Cranston told Magpie Player that his aim to repay that faith and earn a longer deal with the club.

He said: “It was a relief to be fair, to get the move. I’ve been looking for a club all pre-season and thankfully by getting in touch with Mick, I was able to come down for training and earn a contract.

“I’ve got a good relationship with Mick and we’ve always kept in contact. Thankfully I was given the opportunity.

“I know a few of the lads here to be fair with Jake (Cassidy) and Zeli (Ismail) here too and I’m just happy I’m playing and getting some game time.

“It always nice to make a good impression on your debut and it’s always good to beat your rivals with a clean sheet. Hopefully we can progress in that competition too.

“But my main aim to secure a longer deal here with Notts and get a longer contract.”
