Striker Jake Cassidy scored his second goal in Notts colours to wrap up a 2-0 over Mansfield Town...
On-loan striker Jake Cassidy scored his second goal of the season as Notts made it through to the second round of the JPT.
A low strike after the the interval, made sure Notts were in the hat in the next round.
The Wolves forward told Magpie Player: "It's important to get off the mark at home as early as possible and thankfully tonight I did that, maybe I was a bit lucky in the build-up to it, but I will take them all day.
"I just tried to put it across the keeper and as long as you hit the target you've always got a chance of scoring.
"I think it's the first time I've progressed past round one in this competition, Notts knocked Wolves out last year and it was a tough test against a big, physical Mansfield side and thankfully we are through.
"We wanted to bounceback and there's no better way to do that, than beat your rivals in a derby. I think we responded well and bounced back well.
"The heads weren't down in training on Monday and everyone was focussed. I think the game was won on Monday with the mindset we had."
