On-loan midfielder Reece Brown was happy to make the move to Meadow Lane to gain more experience…
The Birmingham City man was eager to get enough minutes on the pitch this season to help his long-term targets of playing for his parent club and his country.
The 18-year-old is on loan initially for a month, but it could be extended if it suits both parties.
He told Magpie Player: “I’m settling in okay and the lads have been great with me.
“I wasn’t getting too much game time at Birmingham, so it’s a good place to come and get some minutes and hopefully show them what I can do.
“They’ve given me a chance and I think they were aware of me after the friendly in the summer. They knew what to expect and what I can bring to the team.
“I’m looking forward to playing more in League One and it’s not too different to the Championship, a good tempo and your not given too much time on the ball.
“I thought I’ve done well in the first half against Mansfield, but I like to think there’s more still to come as I dropped off after the break. That’s something for me to work on. “
