The on-loan forward couldn't have asked for a better starting debut after arriving from QPR, equalising with his head, before taping in to put the Magpies ahead at Oakwell.
The win, meant Notts moved up to fifth in League One.
The Canadian told Magpie Player: "It was a very exciting game and I was excited to make my first start.
"We looked strong after a slow start. We were very direct in the second half.
"To get two goals and have the players around me, it was great and I thought we were brilliant in the second half.
"After the third, I love celebrating with the fans, but I was disappointing with the yellow. It's such a great feeling to score.
"I'm happy to help the team and the next goal at half-time was crucial, we knew we had to get it, and it was very important.
"It gave us a lot of confidence and I'm happy to be here during a good streak."
