Loan Update: Greg 'Safe Hands' Tempest

20 October 2014

Midfielder Greg Tempest had an eventful afternoon on Saturday as he replaced dismissed Sam Vince to go between the sticks…

Tempest began the day as left-back against Hyde and helped the Pilgrims go ahead with two assists.

With time ticking away, Vince was giving his marching orders, and the Northern Ireland Under 21 international was given the responsibility to ensure his side held onto the win, with the score standing at 3-1.

He didn't disappoint with two great saves and ensured a personal clean sheet for the final 12 minutes of the game.

Tempest had played in goal in his youth days and will be delighted to ensure an important home win. Right-back Kyle Dixon did not feature.

Striker Tyrell Waite played 70-minutes for Ilkeston in an eventful game against Halesowen.

The game ended 2-2 with Waite coming close to scoring, hitting the woodwork just before the interval with his right-foot. He is likely to play again in midweek against Kings Lynn Town.

Meanwhile Youth Team forward Alex Kenlock has joined Rainworth Miners Welfare on a work experience loan and played 85-minutes in a 2-2 against Market Drayton in the FA Trophy.

He starred in his debut, creating the equaliser, winning the ball back before crossing.

He could feature in the replay on Tuesday night at home.
