Derry: It Was The Best Performance Out Of The Ten, Despite A Horrible First Half

22 October 2014

Derry believes that the 3-2 win over Barnsley was the best of the unbeaten run...

Notts came back incredibly from 2-0 down, to win the game in a five goal thriller at Oakwell.

Two goals from winger Michael Petrasso and another goal from Garry Thompson sealed the three points for the Magpies over Barnsley, and it lifted Notts into fifth position in League One.

Derry told Magpie Player: "Just the manner of the second half performance meant that this was the best performance.

"It was absolutely amazing, but first half we were so bad! Wow!

"We didn't get in there faces in the first half, but the second half was polar opposite.

"I was so frustrated at half-time. We were all disappointed with the goals we conceded. It was a horrible performance.

"I felt everyone in the second half, played like I know they can.

"We could have been five or six down and we absolutely got away with it, but in the second half we were terrific."
