Notts County Manager Shaun Derry has been nominated for the Sky Bet League 1 Manager of the Month for October.
Having guided his side to victory in each of the five games they played in October, Derry has been named as one of four Managers in the running for the prestigious award.
Crewe Alexandra’s Steve Davis, Simon Grayson of Preston North End and Oldham Athletic boss Lee Johnson are the three other nominees, having all enjoyed impressive months.
Notts started October with a 1-0 win over Gillingham at Meadow Lane, before securing their progress in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy with a 2-1 win over Scunthorpe United at Glanford Park.
A 5-3 home victory over Crawley Town was then followed by back to back away wins in the league against Barnsley, when Derry’s side came from 2-0 down to win 3-2, and Scunthorpe, thanks to a late Zeli Ismail penalty.
Notts had climbed as high as third in the Sky Bet League 1 table during that run, which came at the end of an impressive 11-game unbeaten run for Derry’s side.
