Debutant McKenzie Confident Notts Can Still Go Through

10 November 2014

Defender Taylor McKenzie came off the bench to make his professional debut in a 0-0 draw…

The former Sheffield Wednesday centre-half came on to replace captain Hayden Mullins after an injury.

McKenzie believes that the Magpies can reach the second round, with the replay due to be played on Tuesday 18 November.

He told Magpie Player: ""It was a big moment for me. It was my professional debut and it was a tough game against a physical side.

"But I was happy with the way I played and it was good to get a clean sheet.

"It was a quiet game and they stifled us and we will have to go there now and do a  job.

"It will be tough conditions, but we are confident we can get the result to get us into the next round.

"It's been tough to be on the bench, but I've waited to get my chance.

"I had to be ready when called upon and hopefully I made a good account of myself."
