Notts County are delighted to announce that highly-rated young striker Colby Bishop has signed a professional contract with the club.
Bishop, who has been named on the substitutes’ bench for the first team five times already, including twice this season, has been identified as one of the top talents in the youth ranks and the club have moved quickly to offer him a first professional contract.
The 18-year-old only signed a scholarship with the Notts Academy in December of last year, but has continued to impress in the youth ranks and will now be able to look forward to making the step up to the first team after putting pen-to-paper on a two-and-a-half-year contract.
Notts County Manager Shaun Derry and Acting Academy Manager Paul Hart have recognised the fledgling talent of Bishop and were keen to reward his efforts with a professional contract, but both have stressed the need for the young stiker to continue his development.
Bishop will still be available to play for the Notts County Youth Team for the remainder of their current season, before linking up with the first team squad full-time ahead of the 2015.16 season.
