Kopite Steve Sanders is delighted to be back at Meadow Lane next season and is urging any Notts fan still unsure whether to sign up, to do so and join The Bench ahead of the 2014.15 campaign.
The fan from Long Eaton explained that it was the cheap prices, the end of season form and the feel good factor from Manager Shaun Derry that persuaded him to commit to a season ticket for the first time in over thirty years.
He said: “The last time I had a season ticket was back in the 70s. I have been coming down to watch games, but just paying on the gate. I’ve decided with Notts doing so well at the end of the season and that the price is such a bargain that I could not sign up to the bench.
“Today has been fantastic, it’s knocked me back a little to be honest. I came down just expecting to pay on my card and walk away, but the staff in the Ticket Office and Commercial Consultant Damian Irvine invited me in to look behind the scenes.
“I met Les Bradd who was playing of course when I first started coming down as a young lad with my father, so I’ve met one of my heroes and had a great trip back stage with him to see what goes on behind the scenes.
“Tours like this and how welcoming you feel, it makes you proud to be associated with this club.
“I’m now looking forward to see what Shaun can achieve and how he shapes his team next year.
“We’ve had a bad season, but it’s been good fun and of course the Great Escape showed that we can compete at this level and was absolutely fantastic. If that form continued we’re all going to have a great time.
“If any fans are still thinking of getting a ticket, I would say sign up. They are a bargain price and we are going to see some fantastic football, as we already have under Shaun Derry. You’ll be a fool not to be involved as a Notts fan.”
Meanwhile the Ticket Office will be back open Monday-Friday 9am-5pm next week.
