Notts County’s new season ticket initiative The Bench has proved popular amongst supporters, with sales up on this time last year and a large number of new sign-ups for the 2014.15 campaign.
Launched in March, The Bench is a unique new package, intended to make season ticket holders feel more connected with their club and to show Notts County’s appreciation for the support that they have shown the club ahead of the new campaign.
Every supporter that purchases their season ticket and, in so doing, signs up to The Bench, is given the chance to pop into Meadow Lane for a look behind the scenes, have photographs taken and conduct an interview with Magpie Player to tell us a bit about themselves and their association with Notts County.
The aim of the scheme is to ensure that manager Shaun Derry has the strongest possible bench of fans to call on for their support throughout the 2014.15 campaign.
It would seem that fans have taken to the new initiative and have flocked to show their support for the manager, for the team and for the club as a whole, with sales surpassing last season’s figures at this date and over 10% of those that have signed up to The Bench having not had a season ticket last season.
Commercial Consultant Damian Irvine has been delighted by the sales figures to date, saying: “After the amazing scenes at the end of the season just finished, it’s been great to see that enthusiasm and feel good factor continue into the close season, with fans showing their support for the manager and giving a real endorsement to what we are all trying to achieve here at the club.
“I would like to thank every supporter that has already booked their place on The Bench. To see so many fans reconnect with the club, especially those who didn’t have a season ticket last season, is fantastic and I’m sure we’ll go into the new campaign even stronger than we were last year both on and off the pitch.”
The reduced prices that were announced when The Bench was launched earlier in the year are only available until 2pm on Saturday 31 May, which is also the deadline for existing season ticket holders to secure their same seat for next season, after which time all seats will be made available for general sale.

EARLY BIRD DEADLINE FOR THE BENCH - 31 MAY 2014
Notts County supporters are reminded that they have until 2pm on Saturday 31 May to book their season ticket and secure their place on The Bench for the 2014.15 campaign at the current reduced prices.
Having secured our place in Sky Bet League 1 with a final day 1-1 draw away to Oldham Athletic, Notts are now preparing for a fifth successive season in the division and are calling on our supporters to give us the best possible backing going into the 2014.15 season.
Season ticket prices were significantly reduced when they went on sale as part of the new initiative The Bench in March and with sales going well to date, the club wanted to remind supporters of the forthcoming deadline to book their seat at these fantastic rates.
After the 31 May 2pm deadline, season ticket prices will revert to the levels that they were for the 2013.14 campaign, or the five-year price freeze rates for those qualifying for that initiative.
With an adult season ticket currently available for as little as £315 it really does pay to book your seat early for the new campaign, with every member of The Bench also able to pick up a copy of the multi-award winning match day programme, The Mag, at every home league game next season.
To book your place on The Bench for the 2014.15 campaign, contact the ticket office on 0115 9557 210 or buy online at www.nottscountydirect.co.uk
