Striker Jimmy Spencer is hoping to carry on his excellent form from the end of last year...
The 22-year-old striker was in hot form at the end of the campaign, scoring five times in 13 appearances and he's already targeting that level of performance at the start of next season.
Spencer arrived from Huddersfield in February and was named man of the match countless times, as well as his goal tally.
He spoke to Magpie Player about his excitement of securing his future. He said: "I'm buzzing. I've been wanting to get it done for a while.
"It's right for me and it's right for the club and I'm happy to be here.
"I've been here for three months now and I had other interests, but it felt right to sign up as soon as possible.
"I wanted to enjoy my summer and forget about football for a while. I'm ready to join two years here now.
"It's worked since I've come in, they've given me a chance and I can't praise Gaffer and Greg enough for doing that. I feel like I've took that chance and hopefully it carries on how we left off the end of the season, kick on and have a good go at this league next season."
