Notts County Football Club is calling for your backing as two of our supporters take on the London to Amsterdam Cycle Challenge for Prostate Cancer UK.
The ride will begin on the eve of the 2014 World Cup and will see the duo join representatives from Football League clubs up and down the country in a journey from The Matchroom Stadium, home of Leyton Orient, to AFC Ajax.
Ian Orton and Keith Stewart will represent Notts County on the 150-mile journey from capital to capital as Team NCFC, with the aim of raising money for the Football League’s Official Charity Partner and helping more men survive prostate cancer.
Therefore, they will need your support to assist them in achieving their fundraising goals for a charity close to their hearts.

Ian is motivated to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK, as it is a disease that has affected generations of his family. His father, grandfather and great grandfather - all of them Notts County fans - sadly passed away after a battle with prostate cancer and it is what led him to the ride.
A Magpies supporter of almost 40 years, Ian grew up watching the likes of Iain McCulloch, Don Masson, Ray O’Brien and Pedro Richards. He remains passionate about the club to this day and is still a regular at Meadow Lane, despite living in Birmingham.
Ian’s employers, Barclays, have agreed to match his fundraising efforts up to £750. Alongside contributing to the charity, he aims to raise awareness about the disease through the ride.

BIO | KEITH STEWART
Keith is another Notts fan whose family has been affected by cancer. One year ago, he discovered that the BRCA gene, which is related to breast cancer, runs in his family and can be a major factor in prostate cancer.
His mother was diagnosed with breast cancer but successfully fought to clear the disease following a mastectomy. In addition, his uncle has battled against the disease on several occasions, including prostate cancer.
As a result, Keith aims to carry out a large event each year to help raise money towards cancer research. On this occasion, he was determined to join Team NCFC to help save lives and raise awareness amongst Notts fans.
