Notts County Football Club welcomed the best junior teams from the surrounding areas for the Don Masson Challenge Cup.
10 teams at Under-8s, Under-9s and Under-10s competed in a group stage and knockout tournament at the club’s Highfields Training Facility.
The competition, which was refereed by the club’s youth team players, proved to be highly competitive and a good advert for grass roots football in Nottinghamshire.
Event organiser and lead development phase coach Dan Leivers said: “Thanks to all the teams that took part - the standard was brilliant.
“The players did their club’s proud on the whole and it was an enjoyable and entertaining day for everyone involved.
“We saw some great young talent on show and, with the permission of their clubs, we may even see some of them in the Academy in years to come.
“Congratulations to the winners and we look forward to welcoming the teams back for next season’s tournament.”
