Notts Must Beat Tranmere, Says Dumbuya

15 March 2014

Notts County must take three points from the weekend’s big game against fellow strugglers Tranmere Rovers, according to Mustapha Dumbuya.

Notts have only 10 games remaining to secure a place in Sky Bet League 1 for the new season but have to hit promotion form to reach the 50-point milestone.

Tranmere are just five points above County in the table and Dumbuya feels that it is now or never for the team, as they head into an important run that also includes clashes with Carlisle United, Crewe Alexandra and Colchester United.

He told Magpie Player: “These last 10 games are very important but we’ve got to pick ourselves up because there’s no time to feel sorry for ourselves.

“With the players that we’ve got I’m really surprised that we’re down there, but these things happen and we’ve got to get ourselves out of this.

“We’ve got to beat Tranmere and Carlisle - these are the games that are must wins for us.

“I feel that if we don’t then we’re in desperate trouble so Saturday is a must, as is Carlisle.

“They’re in a similar position to us really and they’re going to come out all guns blazing.

“We need to do the same and we’ve got to match them up - it won’t be a football game, it’ll be a battle."
