Callum McGregor netted his first international goal in Scotland Under-21s’ 2-2 draw with Hungary on Wednesday night.
McGregor, who is on loan at Notts County from Celtic, gave the Scots the lead with a 25-yard free-kick that was drilled under the wall.
The forward played the full 90 minutes for his country.
Another loanee, Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish, also played a full game for Republic of Ireland Under-21s.
Like McGregor, Grealish impressed and came close with two efforts, as ROI were beaten 2-1 by Montenegro.
At Under-19 level for Northern Ireland, youth team defender Kyle Symons made his debut for Northern Ireland in their 3-0 loss to Switzerland.
Midfielder Greg Tempest missed out on Northern Ireland Under-21s’ 2-0 loss to Italy due to injury.
