Magic Murray In Pursuit Of Golden Boot

26 March 2014

Striker Ronan Murray is brimming with confidence after another two goals in Notts County’s 3-1 win over Crewe Alexandra.

Murray has scored in the Magpies’ last three matches and now has eight for the season, despite starting just nine games across all competitions.

The striker is now closing in on leading goal-scorer Callum McGregor’s 13-strike tally but his main aim is to help County stay in Sky Bet League 1.

He said: “I might catch him by the end of it but the target is to keep the club in League 1.

“We have to work as a team and you can’t get anywhere without teamwork and I think we’ve been working as a team the last couple of games.

“I feel good at the moment and I feel like I’m doing well up front with Jimmy [Spencer] with my overall play.

“The chances are just falling for me at the minute and I’ve been taking them.

“I’m looking forward to Colchester but I’m taking it one day at a time."

THE GREAT ESCAPE CONTINUES | Get down to Meadow Lane on Saturday afternoon as the Magpies aim to secure a third consecutive win.
