Striker Ronan Murray now has six goals for Notts County this season - impressive when you consider he has only started eight matches.
Murray netted his second goal in as many games in the weekend’s 4-1 triumph over Carlisle United and has the club’s best goals per minute ratio.
On average, the 22-year-old has netted a goal every 127.5 minutes in the Black and White Stripes since signing from Ipswich Town in the summer.
“I suppose I scored a lot of goals at under age for Ipswich by being in the right positions,” he said.
“I learnt a lot about where to be and I had a lot of coaching there and it seems to be just falling into place now.
“I've matured a lot more since I’ve been here and it is a good record.
“But, we need to get out of this situation we’re in and I’m not really looking at the stats.
“It’s all about the club and the hole it’s in, because we really need to get it out of there.
“No matter how we play, we just need to win - it’s beyond fancy football at this stage.”
