Bio:
Liam Noble started his career with Sunderland, where he came through the ranks before earning a senior deal at the Stadium of Light.

Noble impressed out on loan with Carlisle United over 24 appearances in the 2010.11 campaign and scored three goals.

The committed central midfielder made his full Football League debut at Meadow Lane and helped Carlisle to a 1-0 victory over Notts.

Having made an impact at Brunton Park, former Cumbrians boss Greg Abbott, who is now assistant manager at Meadow Lane, took him on loan for a second campaign.

Noble made further strides and scored seven goals in 45 appearances, before making the switch permanent that summer.

The former United number eight spent a further two years with Carlisle and played 80 times, scoring 12 goals.

Although Cumbrians supporters were keen for Noble to remain with their club, he was told that his contract would not be renewed.

After speaking to numerous clubs, the 23-year-old came out of a meeting with manager Shaun Derry and Abbott knowing that his future was best placed at Meadow Lane.

Conversations with former County defender Mike Edwards further convinced Noble to commit to the Magpies on a two-year deal.
