Winger Zeli Ismail is determined to give everything he has to ensure that he is a success for Notts County, following his loan move from Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Ismail has featured three times in the Black and White stripes since signing a six-month switch to Meadow Lane.
The tricky midfielder proved to be a big hit in Sky Bet League 2 last term and is out to prove that he can reproduce the same form at a higher level with the Magpies.
“The manager’s told me to come here and do what I did at Burton Albion last year - just express myself,” he said.
“It’s all about getting a run of games and getting into that momentum, because that’s what happened to me at Burton and I really enjoyed it.
“I got a few goals and assists and I felt really good, but as a footballer you always want to play higher and challenge yourself as much as you can.
“It won’t be easy, people think that when you’re out on loan you’re straight into the team but it’s not like that and you’ve got to work your socks off to make sure that the gaffer picks you.”
Ismail is set for action again on Tuesday evening against Birmingham City at Meadow Lane (7.30pm kick-off).
