Notts County defeated Rolls Royce Leisure 4-1 in a pre-season friendly at Watnall Road in Hucknall on Wednesday Evening.
The County line-up was packed with youth, though manager Shaun Derry added experience to the midfield three - his first runout of pre-season.
Notts opened the scoring in the 19th minute through Brad McGowan, who found the net with a forceful header that was made possible by a wonderful searching cross from youth team left-back Kyle Symons.
Jeremy Balmy was a constant menace to the Rolls Royce back line with his unpredictable dribbling across all areas of the final third.
The Frenchman was able to get into the box with a surging run and was upended by the home goalkeeper.
Tyrell Waite took on the responsibility of the penalty and sent the goalkeeper the wrong way with a placed finish inside the right-hand upright.
Following fine work by youth team wideman Reco Fyfe, the danger man Balmy made it 3-0 with the goal of pre-season up until this point - a tremendous 20-yard dipping half volley into the top-right corner.
Rolls Royce struck back ahead of the break from a set-piece, which saw Greg Conn glance home from a teasing delivery into the box.
There was only one further goal after the break and Balmy managed to better his first finish by capping off a truly outstanding move.
A series of sharp, one-touch passes on the right was rounded off magnificently by Balmy, who fired past the goalkeeper with a stunning side volley - a great way to round off the scoring.
