Notts County Complete Loan Deal For Wolverhampton Wanderers Striker Jake Cassidy

25 July 2014

Notts County Football Club is delighted to announce the loan signing of Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Jake Cassidy until January.

Cassidy is the second Wolves player to arrive on loan this summer, after winger Zeli Ismail agreed a switch to Meadow Lane earlier this month.

The Welsh Under-21 is well known in Sky Bet League 1, having experienced successful loan spells with Tranmere Rovers over the past three seasons.

At the back end of 2011.12, Cassidy scored five goals in seven starts, before becoming a key player the following year, between August and January, when he netted a further 11 times.

The 6ft 2ins hotshot featured on 18 occasions for Wanderers last term before playing another 19 times for Rovers in the second half of the campaign.

Cassidy will hope to recreate his goal-scoring form from previous seasons in the Black and White stripes after becoming manager Shaun Derry’s 10th summer signing.

The club’s newest arrival is set to make his first appearance for the Magpies against FC Halifax Town this weekend.
