Blair Adams Believes Notts County Can Be The Dark Horses Of Sky Bet League 1

2 July 2014

New arrival Blair Adams is excited by the quality in the squad and believes that Notts County can be Sky Bet League 1’s dark horses.

Adams signed for the Magpies on Tuesday afternoon, following his departure from Coventry City by mutual consent.

The left-back arrives highly rated having impressed in fixtures against County and the Black & White Army cannot wait to see him in action.

Adams has played alongside and against a number of his fellow summer arrivals and is optimistic ahead of the 2014.15 campaign, as Notts look to improve upon last term's 20th placed finish.

“I’ve played with Liam Noble before and some of the lads that have come in I’ve played against and they’re all very good players, so it should be an exciting season,” he told Magpie Player.

“There’s no telling how well we can do because there’s always surprise packages in the league.

“With the ability in the squad and the team spirit after a full pre-season, I’m sure we’ll be giving it a right good go.”

Adams is a modern-day full-back and will be encouraged to add to Notts’ offensive threat down the left.

“I just like to try to get forward as much as possible and get involved with the attacking play,” he continued.

“I like to be in the final third getting on the ball, getting at players and getting crosses in - that’s what I’m good at.

“The gaffer’s said that’s what he wants me to do this season so I’m looking forward to it.

“On a personal level, I just want to be playing regularly and playing well.”
