First team manager Shaun Derry cannot wait for 3pm on Saturday afternoon when Notts County face Sheffield United at Meadow Lane.
The Magpies are set to perform in front of the biggest home crowd of the season so far, with over 3,000 Blades fans expected to travel to Nottingham for the six-pointer.
Derry is expecting a difficult battle against a side he represented as a player between 1998 and 2000 but knows the Black and White Army will be right behind County.
United have improved under new boss Nigel Clough and are on a high after defeating Premier League Aston Villa in the FA Cup with Budweiser last weekend.
However, Notts remain confident following an impressive victory over Bradford City and will be going all out for three points.
Derry is fired up for the game, which can see the Magpies climb out of the Sky Bet League 1 relegation zone and close the gap on the 18th placed Blades to only one point.
“They’ll bring a threat in terms of their backing and the size and stature of the club,” Derry told the press.
“Sometimes when you look at opposition teams you can get beat just by looking at the name, that isn’t going to happen on Saturday.
“We’ve got to embrace these big games, we did it against Wolves when every single one of our lads stood up and was counted that day.
“For us, we’ve got to concentrate on what we bring to the table and we’re hoping that they’ll be as worried about us as they are about us.
“Am I worried about Sheffield United? I’m looking forward to it and I’m hoping the players are too.”
