Midfielder Mark Fotheringham believes that the impact made by manager Shaun Derry since taking over at Notts County has been huge.
When Derry arrived in November Notts were pinned to the bottom of the table but a rejuvenation under the gaffer has seen the team climb to 16th in the Sky Bet League 1 table.
The revival continued with a 1-0 win against Stevenage at the Lamex Stadium, which made it three victories on the spin.
“He’s been outstanding since the day he came in,” said Fotheringham.
“He’s a winner and a leader and he drives people every single day.
“He drives people in training, he drives people off the pitch and he drives us out there when we’re playing.
“It’s there for everyone to see and when you’ve got that passion and leadership there it bodes well for the future.”
Notts will look to continue the perfect start to 2014 on Tuesday night in the London Road encounter with Peterborough United.
