Ball Rolls Back Into Meadow Lane

11 January 2014

Notts County are delighted to announce that Derby County striker Callum Ball has rejoined the club on loan until the end of the season.

Ball played four games for Notts during a short-term loan deal at the end of last year but suffered a head injury in his final appearance of that spell, cutting short his stay at Meadow Lane.

However, having fully recovered from that knock, the 21-year-old has now agreed to rejoin Shaun Derry’s side for the remainder of the current campaign.

Derry had stated his desire to bring Callum back to Meadow Lane once he had recovered from his injury and will welcome the return of the big striker to his options up front.

The manager said: “Derby have been great and Steve McLaren in particular.

"They fully acknowledge what we’re trying to do here and they fully acknowledge what Callum did in the two or three games for us.

“He always made it clear that he wanted to come back to Notts County and I think one or two clubs were interested in signing him for the rest of the season.

“For him to sign for Notts County shows that he’s believing in what we’re trying to do here.”

Elsewhere, Andy Haworth, whose contract with Notts expired this month, has signed for Skrill Premier side Tamworth, whilst Bradley Jordan and Morgan Fox have both returned to Charlton Athletic.

Ball is in contention for a start in this weekend's encounter with Sheffield United. For full details, click here.
