Throwback Thursday - A Club United Against The Conditions

11 December 2014

The Media Team delve into the club's archives…

An army of supporters, office staff and groundstaff all helped clear the Meadow Lane turf from snow back in January 2013.

It was a real team effort from everyone from the club from sponsors On Call Recruitment to the Academy to ensure they got the game ahead in testing conditions.

Hours upon hours of lifting heavy snow ensured the match against Sheffield United passed a pitch inspection.

Despite the effort, Notts fell behind early with a goal from Harry Maguire, but the ten men Magpies rescued a point thanks to Alan Judge.

What memories have you got of the day? Join the debate on the club's social media pages.

The club would like to thank Bowles Associates, JMS Photography, Action Images, Dan Westwell and the Nottingham Post for supporting the NCFC History archives.

Look out for more classic photographs every Thursday.
