The Youth Team beat Grimsby Town 2-0 at the Eagle Valley Stadium thanks to first half goals from Reece Fyfe and Colby Bishop.

Head Of Academy Coaching Mick Halsall told the Official Site: "They've done really well to be up there. It's been a fragmented season, so it's nice to get a run together.
"It was a good performance, especially the first half-hour. We took a good two goal lead in the first ten minutes and played some very good stuff.
"We looked bright and inventive. The last 15 minutes in the first half and the second period, we lost our way a little and we have to give Grimsby credit their.
"It was disappointing we couldn't maintain it and get going again. They weathered the storm a little and made it a lot harder for us.
"Are we being a little picky, yes I think we are, but that's the level we have set ourselves. We have standards and we have to maintain them.
"It's probably the best we've played this season."
