Adams: Got Beat By The Better Side

14 December 2014

Left-back Blair Adams gave an honest assessment of the home defeat…

Defender Adams admitted they were beaten by the better side after losing 3-0 to Swindon Town on Saturday.

Notts conceded in the first half, before Liam Noble was sent his marching orders to make the task even harder.

Adams remained upbeat however and is determined to put this disappointment behind him when the Magpies welcome Preston North End on Tuesday night in the JPT.

He told Magpie Player:"It was a disappointing result. Swindon are a very strong team and you can see why they are up there and I won't be surprised to see them up there in the automatic position come the end of the season.

"We knew they were a good team and we were fully prepared, but we conceded early on and the sending off didn't help and made it even tougher. They were the better side.

"We kept digging in and fighting to see if we can force a mistake, but we got beat by the better side today.

"They play football in the right way and we couldn't deal with it, but the beautiful thing is that we have a game straight away on Tuesday night where we can put things right.

"It's a massive game for us and we want to put that performance right."
