Hayden Mullins: Looking To Bounce Back Very Quickly

17 August 2014

Captain Hayden Mullins was clearly bitterly disappointed after the 1-0 home defeat to Fleetwood Town and he hopes the players can bounce back very quickly on Tuesday...

The former Birmingham City was awarded the man of the match award as he put in a gritty display in defence, but he wasn't taking any of the plaudits and vowed to put the loss behind them as soon as possible.

Notts conceded just before the half-time whistle and the visitors held on in a very frustrating afternoon at Meadow Lane.

Mullins told Magpie Player: "It doesn't matter how I played, as a team we lost and we are all bitterly disappointed in the changing room. With it being the first home game, we all wanted to do really well and give the fans something to cheer about, but I think both halves we weren't at the races and we didn't start very well.

"It wasn't a great game, they nicked a goal and managed to hold onto it.

"The ball was changing hands a lot, we didn't create enough chances and if you don't do that in this division, a hard division, then you might get picked off and that's what happened today.

"We've got a good game on Tuesday and hopefully try to get three points."
