Manager Shaun Derry has faith that the Notts County squad can finish the job of keeping the club in Sky Bet League 1 after a tremendous display of character.
There have been points this season where the Magpies have been written off - none more so than following the loss to Tranmere Rovers last month.
A spirited fightback, which has included five wins in the last seven games, has left Notts with a chance of avoiding the drop.
Two vital encounters await - against Swindon Town and Oldham Athletic - and Derry has backed his side to handle the pressure of the situation, after seeing them deal with it so well for so many weeks.
“I’m happy with the form and I’m hoping that we end the season with two more wins, but we’ve given ourselves a chance after the sorry loss away at Tranmere,” he told Magpie Player.
“Many people wrote us off but we had that resolve and that determination to hang in there.
“I always said that the final six or seven games were where you get some weird and wonderful results and it’s not let us down again.
“It’s the business end of the season and we’re right in amongst it.
“I always say that the lads have to take a huge amount of credit for this because they’re the ones that put in the performances on Saturday afternoons and Tuesday nights.
“There’s a realism that has set in and become engrained in their mental state at the minute.
“They’re definitely all together, which is great for a manager because to start with when I first came into the building I couldn’t honestly that the whole group was together, but they are now.”
