Home Games Will Determine Notts' Future

8 April 2014

Notts County must win their home games if the club is to achieve Sky Bet League 1 survival, says manager Shaun Derry.

Notts have three home games remaining, beginning this weekend against Port Vale (3.07 kick-off).

Meadow Lane encounters with Crawley Town and Swindon Town also await and maximum points from all three matches would lift Notts to 49 points - a point shy of the projected 50-point safety mark.

Derry said: “I think if you were to talk about the 50-point mark you’re hoping that you’d be staying up.

“It would take an unbelievable run from the other teams to get any more than that.

“I think it’s 50 and that’s what we’ll be looking to achieve.

“Four games ago, you’re looking at 50 points and thinking ‘where are they going to come from’?

“Thankfully we achieved nine on the bounce so psychologically it’s huge.

“You can not so much pin-point certain games but you’re looking and saying they’re the key games and for me the key games are at home.”

The Magpies need your support so make sure you are in attendance to back the team in the Meadow Lane fixtures.
