Hayden Mullins Aims High

11 April 2014

Hayden Mullins has not set a points target - unless you count Notts County winning every game between now and the end of the season.

There has been plenty of talk about hitting the 50-point mark but the on-loan Birmingham City defender just wants to win every game.

In his new role at the back, Mullins has played a big part in the recent turnaround, which has seen the Magpies claim nine points from a possible 12 in the last four matches.

The 35-year-old sees no reason why the team cannot take a winning mentality into the remaining fixtures, starting with Port Vale this weekend.

He told Magpie Player: “It’s hard to put a total on it with so many teams getting dragged into the mix, like Colchester, who had looked likely to finish in mid-table.

“We need to take each game as it comes and aim for as many points as we can possibly get.

“For us, as a team, we’ve got to go for five wins and try to rely on ourselves and not anyone else.

“We need to look at what’s got us success in the three games before Brentford and take that into Saturday’s game.

“You can’t get too bogged down in the situation that we’re in, as we need to go out there with the freedom to play our game and if we do that then the wins will come.”
