Notts County have forged an exciting new partnership with Central College Nottingham that will see students’ work displayed in hospitality areas at the club’s Meadow Lane stadium.
The first instalment of work, featuring photography by students from the Central College’s Foundation Degree course, was put in place in the Wheeler’s Suite at Meadow Lane recently and has already drawn the attention of guests of the club’s matchday hospitality.
A series of stunning images, many of which feature local landmarks, were mounted on the walls of the club’s hospitality lounge and have received a positive reception from those that have used the room in recent weeks.
The move comes as part of Notts County’s commitment to strengthening ties with the local community and Commercial Director Damian Irvine was delighted to have the work of students from a local college adorning the walls of Meadow Lane.
“Having only recently arrived at the club myself, one thing that I noticed very early on was how important the local community is to Notts County and equally how important a role the club can play in the local community,” said Irvine.
“The Bench season ticket initiative that we launched recently was very much focused on making supporters feel more connected with the club and a big part of that is making this club an integral part of the local community, so what better way to brighten up one of our key corporate areas than by using the work of students from a local college.
“The standard of work is fantastic and this is just the start of a partnership that we hope will go from strength to strength with Central College Nottingham.”
A further extension of the closer relationship being forged between Central College and Notts County will see a module of the current photography course tailored specifically to a brief set by the club around all aspects of life at Notts County.
