First team manager Chris Kiwomya wants his team to use last weekend’s result as a springboard for the rest of the campaign.
Notts delivered their best performance of 2013.14 to topple Tranmere Rovers at Meadow Lane and recorded their first three points of the campaign.
On Saturday, the Magpies face a difficult trip to Carlisle United, who have won their two most recent fixtures.
Kiwomya just wants his side to focus on their own approach and attack with the same confidence as they did against Rovers.
“It’s up to us to keep going on the pitch and keep doing the performance that we did last Saturday against Tranmere,” he told the press.
“It’s really important, for me, now to build on that, because I don’t want to be disappointed after Saturday.
“After Saturday we’ve got to try and build now and I think the players are determined to do that.
“Carlisle have won their last two games and we’ve got to go there being very confident in ourselves.
“We’re getting a stronger bench now and that can help us in going on a better run and getting back-to-back wins – or at least getting something from the game.
“Then we’ve got Crewe and also Oldham, where we can go on from there and do well and give the fans some hope.”
