Much Better Required, Says Kiwomya

15 September 2013

First team manager Chris Kiwomya feels that some of his players need to give more if they are to hold onto their shirts.

Notts delivered a disappointing first half performance and went into the half time break two goals down, following strikes from Luke Chadwick and Shaun Williams.

Although Callum McGregor’s 76th minute strike got County back into the game, Patrick Bamford ensured that maximum points were safe for MK Dons in the dying stages.

“We knew it was going to be a hard day but we’ve played against better teams than this and done better,” said Kiwomya.

“I thought some of the lads worked really hard but then some of them just weren’t good enough.

“Some of them are not putting in the performances that warrant them a start on Tuesday night.”

He added: “I’m not saying the players laid down but they’ve got to do better, as there’s only so much we can set them up for.

“We changed systems, we changed players and that’s the most disappointing thing.”
