Jack Eager To Add The Finishing Touch

23 September 2013

Exciting winger Jack Grealish was a goal away from being totally satisfied with his home debut for Notts County.

The Meadow Lane crowd were given their first look at the promising 18-year-old in the weekend’s 2-0 triumph over Tranmere Rovers.

Grealish was many supporters’ choice for Man of the Match on the back of a showing that saw the Rovers defenders struggle to cope with his dribbling skills.

The on-loan Villa midfielder enjoyed playing in front of the lively Magpies’ fans but felt that he should have scored on more than one occasion.

“I thought I did well, I was just a bit annoyed that I didn’t get the goal,” he explained.

“But, the main thing is that we got the three points – that’s all that matters.

“I try to score as many as I can which ain’t many but I need to add that to my game I’ve been told.

“The staff at Villa and here have told me that I need to get more shots off and score as many goals as I can.

“I practice every day in training so hopefully it will come soon.

“Their goalkeeper had a good game on Saturday but we got the win and that’s all that matters.

“I’m loving it here at the moment, the training’s great and the atmosphere at Meadow Lane was brilliant.”
