Fifth Cheapest Day Out In The FL

12 September 2013

Notts County have come out as one of the cheapest days out in the Football League, a recent BBC Sport survey has shown...

In the Championship only Derby County and Huddersfield Town are cheaper, whilst in the bottom two divisions only Sheffield United and Accrington Stanley can boast better prices for a matchday.

Magpie supporters can pay just £20.30 for an adult match ticket, cup of tea, a pie and a programme on selected matchdays.

Chief Executive Jim Rodwell told the Official Site: “We have had a lot of discussions in the summer and the board agreed that making sure an afternoon watching the club here in Nottingham is affordable for everyone.

“We are all aware of the recession and how much it costs to go and watch football these days, but with the new flexible pricing in place here at Meadow Lane we are able to offer cheaper tickets.

“We can now set the prices of an individual matchday ticket well in advance, and they will be determined on a number of factors determined by the football club.

“A day out here to watch Notts is cheaper than most tourist attractions around the country including theme parks and quite considerably cheaper than seeing One Direction at the Etihad Stadium.”
