A last-gasp equaliser from Anthony Dwyer saw Notts County youth team claim a point in a 2-2 draw away at Rotherham United.
The Magpies had gone two goals down but Reece Fyfe gave the Magpies hope, before Dwyer ended a run of three consecutive losses with his late finish.
Head of Academy coaching Andy McMillan was impressed with the character his side showed on the day.
He told the official site: “It was an excellent fightback from the lads after conceding two soft goals in the first half, both of which came as a result of individual errors.
“Unfortunately we went in at half time 2-0 down and we needed to up the tempo after the break.
“Thankfully the lads took the message on board, went out there, were more direct and got two good goals.
“In fact I thought we could have snatched all three points at the end.
“I am pleased with the team’s spirit, as I have been all season.
“It was a good point away from home against a decent side and over the 90 minutes I thought we were the better footballing team.”
