Both Greg Tempest and on-loan Callum McGregor have been in action for their countries’ Under-21 sides.
McGregor was the first Magpies’ player to be involved during the international break, as he played 87 minutes in the Scotland Under-21s’ 2-1 triumph over Slovakia.
The Celtic forward impressed and could have registered with a number of decent efforts on goal.
Tempest played 54 minutes for Northern Ireland Under-21s but was unable to prevent them from being defeated 1-0 by Belgium.
