Boucaud: The Belief Is Back

14 October 2013

Confidence is sky high in the Notts County camp after the recent turnaround, says midfielder Andre Boucaud.

The Magpies have delivered four impressive team performances on the bounce and three of those have seen the team claim deserved victories over Tranmere Rovers, Crewe Alexandra and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Following a slow opening to the campaign, Boucaud has been a key part of Notts’ improvements after his return to the starting 11.

The number 28 feels that the team has now hit a turning point but they can not get carried away, as they aim to climb the Sky Bet League 1 table following the international break.

“We’re all comfortable and believe that we can play now,” said the technically gifted playmaker.

“Maybe at the start of the season confidence was low and we didn’t believe we could play.

“The lads here know that we’re good enough to handle the football and confidence is high because we’ve been performing very well.

“Obviously the league doesn’t lie but I still think that we should be higher up the table.

“We’ve got to keep performing and keep our feet on the ground, then hopefully we’ll progress up the league.”

Boucaud is in action for Trinidad & Tobago on Wednesday 16 October. Look out for the international round-up here on the official site.

Followign the international break, Notts travel to Swindon Town and Gillingham in quick succession. For ticket and travel details, click here.
