Forward Callum McGregor’s personal targets keep getting more and more ambitious.
Since arriving on-loan from Scottish giants Celtic earlier this season, McGregor has been one of the Magpies’ stand-out performers.
The club’s September Player of the Month has netted an impressive eight goals in just 16 appearances.
McGregor has set his sights on more finishes in the upcoming games, starting with Coventry City this weekend.
“I was delighted to get another goal on Tuesday night but more so to get the result,” he said.
“I want to try and get 12 goals now, because the other week when I hit five I set 10, then it seems to be that I keep scoring.
"Hopefully I can keep getting more goals for the team.”
