Two Notts County players were in Under-21 international action on Thursday night as part of the European Championship Qualifying stages.
On-loan Celtic forward Callum McGregor played 68 minutes for Scotland Under-21s in a 1-1 draw with Georgia.
McGregor will now travel back to Nottingham ahead of the Magpies’ big Sky Bet League 1 encounter with Wolves.
Midfielder Greg Tempest was introduced as a 67th minute substitute in Northern Ireland’s Under-21s 3-0 defeat to Italy.
Tempest was unfortunately stretchered from the action just five minutes later following an injury.
However, he the signs appear to be positive after he tweeted: “Leg throbbing this morning but all good, really thankful that is wasn't anything worse.”
On Friday, winger Jack Grealish is in the squad for Republic of Ireland Under-21s and Andre Boucaud is set to play for Trinidad and Tobago.
