Derby Striker Agrees Loan Switch

28 November 2013

First team manager Shaun Derry has added Derby County frontman Callum Ball to the Notts County squad on loan transfer deadline day.

The arrival of the 6ft 3ins target man is highly welcomed following striker Marcus Haber’s red card in midweek against Bradford City.

Ball was a regular on the scoresheet in the Under-18 and Under-21 squads at the iPro Stadium and managed to break into the Rams’ first team under their former boss Nigel Clough, where he scored a total of two goals in 11 games.

The 21-year-old has picked up further experience on loan with Coventry City and, more recently, Torquay United.

Ball is the second player to sign on loan from Derby following the addition of full-back Kieron Freeman earlier this month and will be available for selection in this weekend’s game against Brentford at Meadow Lane (3pm kick-off).
