Notts County scooped the Matchday Hospitality Experience Award for League 1 at the Football Hospitality Awards, run by Stadium Experience on Thursday evening.
The awards ceremony, which recognises the ‘off the pitch’ work at football arenas across the country, was held at Reading’s Madejski Stadium on Thursday, with 43 clubs submitting entries across the 18 available categories.
Whilst some awards were voted for by the public, the Matchday Hospitality Experience Award, which Notts walked away with in League 1, was chosen by professional chef judges who visited grounds throughout the 2012.13 season.
Richard Cokayne, Paddy Conway and Lisette Maas, of The Lindley Group, who provide the hospitality facilities at Meadow Lane, were in attendance at the ceremony to collect the award, a very prestigious accolade for Lindley and Notts County.
Lisette Maas, who is also Stadium Experience Chair Person, said of the evening: “These awards recognise those dedicated teams who work tirelessly off the pitch at football stadia across the UK to make hospitality, conferences and events run seamlessly for their customers.
“These often invisible teams continually raise standards across the industry, working both matchdays and non-matchdays to ensure that in some instances up to 90,000 visitors are catered for to an exceptional standard each and every time.”
